From Overthinking to Intuitive Knowing: Sorting Signals from Noise in the Energy-Attuned Mind

If you’re an energy-sensitive and intuitive person, you likely experience something many people don’t:
You don’t just have a thought.
You perceive:
the thought and the energy of it
the emotion underneath it
the energy in the room
the history connected with the situation
others' energies
your feelings about your feelings
the unspoken dynamics
and intuitive guidance
All at once!
This is not confusion.
This is multidimensional perception. ♥️
You don’t struggle to access intuition.
You already hear it, sense it, see it, know it.
The challenge is distinguishing it from your thoughts, feelings, inner critic, and all the energies when you are worried about something.
Like the world's issues or a familiar pattern that gets in the way of your usual clarity.
Let’s clarify something:
Overthinking is not intuition.
Overthinking is our minds trying to organize, analyze, and anticipate life.
Our minds aren't wrong.
They're just busy.
My intuition describes overthinking as being
like the prewash cycle of a washing machine. 🤣
There’s movement. Lots of noise. Agitation.
It's necessary but the clarity is not there yet!
And, it's not enough -- on its own.
Intuition feels different.
It feels:
clear
perceptive
hopeful
uplifting
honest
surprising!
The difficulty for intuitive people isn’t receiving guidance.
It’s sorting signal from noise when you're upset or worried or even feel happily excited about something.
Why this Intuitive Writing Method Works
First, let me say that my spirit guides developed this process with me during the pandemic when I was having trouble hearing my intuition beyond all the fear I felt and the world felt.
It's become the way I know I can have a conversation with my intuition rather than just waiting for it to arrive spontaneously!
I use this process nearly every day.
It's helped me navigate life with more ease and arrive at solutions (soul-utions) my mind wouldn't have arrived at.
Given everything going on in the United States right now, I hope this process can create more inner ease and clarity for those who feel called.
Otherwise, life can feel overwhelming -- waiting for the external world to change.
But we don't have to wait.
We can be the healing we need for ourselves. 💗
When you perceive energy on multiple levels at once, your mind naturally tries to organize the input.
Without structure, our minds try to solve what our nervous systems are holding
.
You may think:“If I just think about this more, maybe I'll figure it out!"
But clarity doesn’t come from more thinking. 🤔
It comes from clear knowing and sensing through our inner senses of intution.
This is where the Intuitive Writing Method becomes powerful.
It doesn’t teach you how to access intuition.
It teaches you how to distinguish it from the noise of energy that you're already feeling, thinking, or sensing. 💗
It creates an intentional pathway to clarity and higher vibrations -- so that cognition, emotion, and intuition are no longer tangled together.
The Power of Intentional Distance
This practice creates sacred space between you and the activity of your thinking mind.
It doesn’t suppress thoughts or loops.
It lets them complete.
It doesn’t bypass emotion. It honors it.
It doesn't ask you to be different: quite the contrary!
You approach yourself as a whole being: soul and human. ♥️
Then, this method gently and powerfully shifts you into a deeper alignment with your intuition.
This process creates clarity so that you can distinguish your intuition from your inner critic.
From this clarity, truth rings through.
You might experience spiritual chills or have Aha! moments.
And, you definitely feel more whole and heard within.
Integration: Living a Spiritually-Informed Life
The goal is not to make our personalities smaller.
Our personalities or egos are like the Uber drivers of the world.
They help us navigate the physical world. 🚕 😀
But when personality drives alone, life becomes myopic and urgent.
Like an Uber driver in NYC.
When intuition rises alone, life can feel ungrounded or unintegrated -- like something is missing.
Intuitive Writing creates a bridge and a dialogue.
Our personality speaks.
Intuition responds.
Our hearts speak.
Intuition listens and creates a synergy between what we''re saying and feeling, and maybe something surprisingly helpful -- something that may seem unrelated to our conscious minds.
The collaboration gets stronger.
We clear through writing and then ask for guidance and it comes together
to create greater alignment.
And through this integration, we create our lives with an integration between our human and intuitive-energetic selves and with clarity and loving guidance instead of fear.
An Invitation
If you are already intuitive, this work may be for you!
It's been a game-changer for me and for clients and now, I want to share it with those who feel called.
So, I’m going to be hosting a small, in-person Intuitive Writing Circle in mid-March at the Bloomington Salt Cave in Bloomington, Indiana.
And, if you're not local, there's another option: I’ll also be hosting a small online group sometime after that and of course, offer this practice in individual sessions.
Groups and sessions are intimate, sacred spaces designed for intuitive, energy-attuned people who are generally grounded, able to stay present with their feelings without becoming overwhelmed, and are craving clarity, truth, and deeper connection with their intuition. 💗
If you feel a clear nudge, trust it.
Your intuition doesn’t need to be louder.
It just needs a clear channel.
Reach out here for a conversation to find out more and discover if it's a good fit. 🌸
