In this post, I share a story about the conditions which created stronger intuition. In this article discover how you, too, can begin to connect with your guides for wisdom, guidance, and fun.

One of the first ways I learned about intuition was through Gin Rummy with my grandmother, "Moppy," when I was 7 years old.
Whenever I'd fly in to see her, we did many things together -- including going "marketing" (shopping) every day. Every day was special no matter how mundane it seemed. But my favorite activity was playing cards with Moppy.
She didn't just let me win! But she also wanted me to learn the rules.. She had wit, enthusiasm, and determination. And, she always smelled like roses, dressed in matching sweaters and skirts, and always had Kleenex stuffed up her sleeves -- she was a balance of grandmother and best friend.
As I'd stare at my cards and get "hits"/ whispers of insight about Gin Rummy and how they applied to life:
✨ Set an intention. Be clear.
✨ Be ready to play! Even if you're driving along the freeway and seeking for it to feel easier. Invite in the feeling of play!
✨ If something is gone, let it go.
✨ What we think about often shows up. (Though it may not come in the form we expect).
✨ Focus on something physical (like the cards for me) will help to distract your mind so that your intuition can come in with downloads, nudges, images, ideas, or feelings. This is one of the big reasons people use oracle cards -- to give the mind something to do!
✨ Ask for the essence of what you want.
✨ Thank your guides. They don't have to do this for you.
✨ The joy is in the connection, not on "winning."
✨ Decide what "winning" means for you. It's often the essence of what you want (e.g. to be in connection, to feel valued, etc) rather than the goal. 💗
Later, I realized that my focus on the cards and on love, let me distract my brain so that I coudl receive the insights my intuition had for me.
After I'd return home many hours away, I would remember playing with Moppy and these insights which made things feel easier.
I especially remember thinking to myself, "That Ace is gone. It's not coming back," when a friend and I disconnected. Or, I set my focus to get an 'A' and I did!
And, I still think of these suggestions for living now.
Playing with Guidance
Every day, I ask my guides for assistance, connection, and guidance. And, I often ask them to join me in games. It’s a playful reminder that we’re in this together!
One of my favorites is Hurdle on Arkadium (a word game like Wordle where you guess five words).
When I invite my guides, I rapidly guess the words and it's fun! Just today, I reached my highest score ever: 10,300! While that was exciting, it felt even better was the sense of camaraderie and support.
It's amazing! It brought a lump to my throat that we're all in this together. 💗
Want to Play With Your Guides?
You can do this, too.
🌟 Ask your guides to assist you in a particular way.
🌟 Invite them to make their presence clear—for example, by letting answers come more easily.🌟 Keep a lighthearted, playful attitude.
🌟 Thank them afterward.
Gratitude strengthens your connection and lets your guides know how much you value your partnership.
This is about collaborating with your intuition and knowing we are all supported!
When we invite our guides in, life becomes a little more magical, more connected, and a lot more fun! 🌟
